The General Medical Commission Administration conducts physical examinations of civil service employees and performs medical examinations and issue medical certificates to: 

• Prospective and current employees.
• Sick and injured employees, including signing sick leave forms.
• Non-Qataris coming to work and reside in the country.
• Applicants for Qatari citizenship.
• Non-Qatari males who wish to marry Qatari females.
• Driving license applicants.
• Students prior to attending or joining university or obtaining a scholarship.
• Any other groups that are legally required to receive a physical examination, excluding employees of the Ministries of Interior and Defence.
