As they are proved to contain sibutramine; a substance which is worldwide banned for its dangerous side effects. The informed source at the Pharmacy and Drug Control Department of the Supreme Council of Health stated that this chemical ingredient, sibutramine, was added to the medicine without prior notice. He added that these medications are not registered in the State of Qatar and are not authorized for public use. He indicated that they are being imported from neighboring countries for personal use.
